Field Of Dreams

Welcome to the field of dreams. Take off your shoes and walk barefoot on the soft grass, lit by the marvelous fiery sky. Yes, you are walking inside a dream. The trees you will encounter in it are dream-like, and so are the clouds, the lawn, the sky. But where exactly lies the border between dreams in reality? Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi has put the dream controversy in an impressive parable, “Once Zhuangzi dreamt he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering around, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn’t know he was Zhuangzi. Dreams are powerful and have influence on us.

African Triptych

The style of this three piece canvas art has been inspired by the simple and informal style of African art: As were some of the most significant twentieth century artists in the western world. Within the African Arts women are often depicted carrying out daily chores: As is the case in this three piece canvas art set. In addition each of the figures has been elongated which is also classic of the African Arts style. For those looking for wall art that is timeless with regards to style African Triptych would be an apt choice.

Quartet Dancers

Quartet Dancers stand tall and elegant, seemingly carved straight into the red soil of rural, Southern Africa. By choosing to apply the oil paint layer upon layer, the artist has managed to create depth, as well as produce an aesthetically pleasing tactile quality into this composition. Deep blood reds surround the golden circle of light, where our eyes are drawn to those Quartet Dancers. African Artists base their depictions of form in a style that reflects their beliefs and cultural traditions. Western Artists tend to depict realistic impressions of the world around them: Or, create forms in a style that reflect their own personal expression. Regardless of motivation, Quartet Dancers has been created with tradition in mind.

African Women

Working The Fields brings together tribal art and high-quality contemporary art. The two figures of African women are stylized, plain, and lack any detailed ornamentation. Their faces have no eyes and no definite expression and this oversimplification alludes to the roots of tribal art, when African masks had hardly any features. Even while working in the field, these African display their uniqueness; and the exotic movements of their bodies speak about their intrinsic individuality. The gentle tones of green, yellow and brown are well combined with the blue of the sky on the wall art

African Dancers

A beautiful warm toned African canvas art. This oil painting depicts was seems to be four elegant women dancing. The textures in this paint make the work of art come alive with movement and rhythm. Being a very rich toned piece of art, there is certain warmth these women bring in their dancing, as if they are dancing under the very sun itself even though there is no sun to be seen in this oil painting. It’s a truly elegantly flowing piece with sharp lines and the precision of a true master.
